Vickie L. Ramsey, of Warsaw, passed away peacefully at Miller’s Merry Manor in Warsaw on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at the age of 63.
She was born on February 24th, 1960, in Elwood, Indiana to Dallas and Betty Webb (Loy). Vickie graduated from Warsaw Community High School in the class of '78. During the summer after graduation, she married her high school sweetheart, Donald Ramsey, on July 14th. The two shared 36 wonderful years together raising their two sons before his passing in January of 2015.
Professionally, Vickie had a fulfilling career as a phlebotomist for Kosciusko Community Hospital and LabCorp until her retirement in 2019. She was loved by all who knew her- from patients who admired her uncanny ability to make them feel at ease during blood draws, to the friends she made while working.
Vickie had an outgoing personality and was adored by many. Her sense of humor and fun-loving spirit lit up any room she entered. Her organizational skills were second to none and those who knew her well could attest to her kind heart.
One of Vickie's favorite things to do was travel and vacation. She would take a yearly trip with her family to Tennessee. In her free time, she enjoyed exploring QVC, where she developed an undeniable shopping addiction. Her favorite purchases being high-end purses. Vickie's cooking skills were legendary, especially when it came to making her famous coffee cake, which would always leave you craving more. She also loved going out to eat with friends and family.
Vickie is survived by her two sons, Scott and Ryan Ramsey; her sister Doris (Les) Lucas, and grand dog, Winston . She is preceded in passing by her parents; husband, Donald; and brother, Danny Webb. She will be greatly missed not only by her family but by everyone fortunate enough to have known such a wonderful caring woman.
Titus Funeral Home and Cremation Services is entrusted with Vickie’s care. Friends may join her family there, 2000 Sheridan St. Warsaw, IN, on Thursday, May 18, 2023, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm for visitation. Her Life Celebration® service will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Glenn Hall officiating. Vickie will be laid to rest beside her high school sweetheart, Donald, at Oakwood Cemetery.
