Viola Summy (Huffman)
Viola Marie Summy, age 90 and a longtime resident of Warsaw, passed away quietly on Thursday, April 5th at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
Viola was born on November 15, 1927 in Bremen. She was the daughter of Cleo Huffman and his wife, Anna (Mason) Huffman. She attended schools in Atwood and was married to the former Clyde H. Summy on November 15, 1949. Of their marriage came two sons, Paul C. and Thomas L. Summy.
Viola was a homemaker and a caring person. She and her family formerly attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Warsaw. She enjoyed reading, square dancing and was a decent cook.
She is survived by grandsons, Paul and Ryan Summy and by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde; her sons, Paul and Thomas; and by two brothers, Charles and Marvin Huffman.
Those closest to Viola will celebrate her life privately. She will be buried in Warsaw’s Oakwood Cemetery.
