Violet Lockridge (Priser)
V. Rose Lockridge, a lifetime Kosciusko County resident, passed away on Wednesday, April 4th in Warsaw’s Kosciusko Community Hospital. She was 89 years old.
Rose was born on March 27, 1929 near Pierceton. She was the daughter of Ora Edward Priser and his wife, Pearl Jane (Copeland) Priser. She attended local schools and was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Lockridge on November 1, 1947. They would share 69 years together before his January 30, 2017 passing.
Rose was bookkeeper by trade and held several jobs over her career. Most notably, she worked for Firestone, Zimmer and the water company before retiring. Rose was kind hearted. She enjoyed reading and was known for her immaculate home. She enjoyed crochet and showed beagles in dog shows for many years with her husband. As the love of her life, time spent with Bob was Rose’s most treasured, no matter the activity.
In addition to her husband, Rose was preceded in passing by her daughter, Patty Brumfield and by several siblings. Her family and friends will celebrate her life during a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw on Friday, April 6th at 1:30 p.m. Retired pastor Dave Hummel will officiate the service.
