Walter D. "Walt" Nichols Jr.

Walter D. “Walt” Nichols Jr., 72, of North Webster, IN passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in McAllen, TX. He was born on September 22, 1939 in Mishawaka, IN to Walter D. & Alice (Scott) Nichols.

He attended Mishawaka High School and in 1957 went into the National Guard for 7 years where he did training with the Army.  He was married on January 1, 1982 in Cassopolis, MI to Joyce Quador who survives.

He was an over the road truck driver for the past 35 years and formerly worked at putting in commercial elevators. He and his wife spent the past 7 winters in Pharr, TX. He enjoyed music in the parks in Indiana & music jams at the Texas RV parks.

He is survived by:
Wife – Joyce Nichols of North Webster
2 Step Sons – Mark Quador of Leesburg & Bruce (wife, Deb) Quador of Wapwallopen, PA
Adopted son – Rodney wife, Richina) Nichols of Syracuse
4 Grandchildren – Jasmine, GeNoa, Josh, & Korie
Sister – Mrs. John (Ruth Ann) Black of Indianapolis, IN
Several nieces, nephews, Gt. nieces & nephews

Private family services will be held on September 1, 2012.
