William Halstead “Hutch” Hutchinson Sr., 77, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 4:50 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2022 at his home. He was born on June 2, 1944 in New Castle, IN to Omar & Gatha (Whitaker) Hutchinson.
He graduated in 1963 from Manilla High School in Manilla, IN and was married on May 16, 1964, in Homer, IN to Andrea K. Edmondson who survives. He grew up in Gings / Homer area and moved in 1983 to Syracuse. He retired from Dana Corporation in Syracuse, IN after 35 years and also worked at Fairmont Homes in Nappanee for 14 years. He attended the United Methodist Church in North Webster, member of the United Auto Workers, and formerly served as a board member on the Marineland Gardens Association. He was an avid Oliver tractor puller and now his nephew, Austin Clark pulls his Oliver 88. He loved spending time with his family & friends.

Sister In law – Sandra (Melvin) Clark Sr. of Rushville, IN

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother – Howard Hutchinson Sr., nephew – Howard Hutchinson Jr., grandparents – Virgil & Hester Whitaker and Warner & Ella (Fish) Hutchinson, son in law – Scott Edwards, father & mother in Law – Jerry & Minnie Edmondson, step father in law – Ralph Smith, sister in law – Patty Hutchinson, and best friend – Dean Hewitt.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN. Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the United Methodist Church, 7822 E. Epworth Forest Rd., North Webster, IN. A Celebration of Life services will follow at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday in the church with Pastor Paul Rogers officiating. Private burial will be in the McClintic Cemetery at a later date.
