William R. "Bill" Lyons

William Ralph “Bill” Lyons, 54, of Roann, IN passed away at 12:47 a.m. on Monday, September 28, 2020 at Parkview Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born on July 12, 1966 in Wabash, IN to Denver Ray & Lorraine (Wheeler) Lyons.

He graduated in 1985 from Northfield High School in Wabash and formerly attended Ivy Tech Community College.  He was married on July 19, 1986 in Roann to Cathryn Ann Collins who survives.  He was a lifetime Wabash / Roann area resident and was employed at Ford Meter Box in Wabash for 30+ years.

He was a member of the Congregational Christian Church in North Manchester, IN.

He is survived by:

Wife – Cathryn Lyons of Roann

Daughter – Melissa (Kaleb Metz) Brown of Wabash

Son - William Ray (Jeanettah) Lyons of Wabash

5 Granddaughters – Zoella, Alea, Mattie, Dottie, Octavia

Grandson – Dadrian

Father – Denver Ray Lyons of Roann

2 Sisters – Valerie Dowdal of Roann & Patty Lyons of Columbia City, IN

Brother – Brian (Janet) Lyons of Roann

Mother-in-law – Millie Collins of Roann

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 1st Brethren Church, 240 W. Allen St., Roann, IN. Memorial services will follow at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday at the church.

Preferred memorials may be given to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
