Wynn L. Schwalm

Wynn L. Schwalm, 58, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 10:10 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. He was born on February 13, 1957 in Goshen, IN to Dean L. & Anna (Douma) Schwalm.
He was a lifetime Goshen / Syracuse area resident, graduated in 1976 from Goshen High School and attended Northwood University in Midland, MI. He was married on March 9, 2006 in St. Lucia to Julie A. Rush who survives. He was employed at Gardeners Outdoor Power Equipment in Goshen for 4 years and formerly worked a short time at Main Channel Marina in Syracuse and Goshen Electric for several years.
He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Syracuse, former member of the Sons of the American Legion and formerly attended the Goshen Church of the Brethren.
He is survived by:

Son – Ryan (Nicole) Schwalm of Syracuse
Mother – Anna Schwalm of Goshen
Step Daughter – Shawna (Matt) Roberts of South Bend
Step Son – Dustin Jackson of Angola
2 Grandsons – Michael Schwalm & Austin Bickel
2 Step Grandsons – Seth & Tyler Adams
Sister – Cinda (Paul) Bowers of Venice, FL
Brother – Tim Schwalm of Indianapolis
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Boyer of the North Webster Church of God officiating. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN.
